The Concrete Chesterfield is cast using glass reinforced concrete, allowing for a hollow “shell” product weighing approximately 140kg. The sofas are cast in calcium aluminate (CA) cement, for both high performance, and environmental reasons. CAs have a much lower production temperature, and hugely reduced CO2 emissions compared to the standard Portland cement.

Outer dimensions are 2000mm width, 800mm deep and 700mm high.

Planting in the sofa is optional. We are able to offer a range of tested plants – Corsican mint (adding a natural fragrance) and Soleirolia soleirolii. Individual planting can be discussed on request.

Each Concrete Chesterfield casting is a unique, numbered edition, one of kind.
